What is SmartAPI?

SmartAPI is an efficient way to connect to multiple verification services via a single API integration. With one simple connection, your company can gain access to multiple verification services from many popular vendors by making a single XML request. How is SmartAPI different than CreditAPI?

SmartAPI is able to work in conjunction with CreditAPI to expand the number of services your platform is able to access. These services may be used to evaluate a consumer's identity, income, assets, and property information.

How will I receive this data?

The data is returned to you in XML format. This information can be parsed out in your system for visual review or can be consumed inside your application using a business rules engine of your design. Human readable formats are also available in the form of PDF and HTML.

What is the cost to integrate to SmartAPI?

SmartAPI is included in the set-up fee that is payable in conjunction with setting up a CreditAPI contract. How difficult is integration to SmartAPI?

While the MISMO 3.4 XML data standard is robust and covers almost all aspects of the mortgage loan lifecycle, we focus primarily on the Uniform Loan Application Dataset (ULAD). The SmartAPI integration kit contains all of the introductory and reference information you will need for MISMO 3.4 in order to create a SmartAPI integration.
